Choose-Your-Own-Itinerary. Make It Your Adventure.

Live Culture Coast includes some 90-plus experiences, which take place over 10 days (October 18-27) in communities from Reedsport to Brookings. Events and Classes are offered every day—but Live Culture Coast also has free experiences and stops available anytime. Read about Live Culture Coast's Free Experiences below or check out our Culture Stand will be each day here.

The Culture Stand

Our Traveling Culture Stand will be moving along the Live Culture Coast route, stopping at a different place each day. This infoshop on wheels is a one-stop-shop for printed maps, festival information, festival schwag, local goodies, and last-minute event registration. Find out where the Culture Stand will be each day here.

Art Installations

Visit the two Live Culture Coast art installations at the Langlois Cheese Factory and the Port of Gold Beach. Both art pieces explore the intersection of place and people—and both pieces give you a new way to experience the surrounding environment.

Place-Based Poetry

Three short jury-selected poems exploring the spirit of Live Culture Coast and the Southern Oregon Coast will be painted on road signs, Burma Shave-style, at points along the Live Culture Coast Route.

Cliff Notes

Cliff Notes bridge ecological learning and real landscapes, summarizing in landmark signs, the science and human importance of real places. Cliff Notes are purposeful shorthand, allowing the viewer to gaze and think—or simply learn as a passerby.

Nature Masterpieces

The Southern Oregon Coast is truly a marvel of wild places and jaw-dropping natural splendors—and there are many ways to access nature. Live Culture Coast has mapped many (but not all!) of the coast’s don’t-miss Nature Masterpieces. Visit them by boat, by car, on foot, or by bike.
