Experience Coordinator Contractor


Work with the Live Culture Coast team and partners to coordinate the execution of the “experiences” during the 10 days of the festival between October 18-27, 2019.  Experiences include workshops, book tours, speakers, performances, outdoor adventures, etc that are booked through our ticketing system. 

Live Culture Coast is in it’s pilot year.  We have already learned a lot in the past 8 months and will continue to do so through the end of the year.  You must be excited to join a dynamic team that has a roadmap but also knows that the process has bumps and turns.  Communication, flexibility, work ethic, and a sense of humor all get the job done!


  • Using the master spreadsheet of experiences, communicate with the 50+ experience providers to create a smooth flow of events throughout the 10 days of Live Culture Coast

  • Work with Creative Director to coordinate venues, musicians, and headliners that LCC is coordinating instead of a partnering business — including A/V needs, travel, lodging, payment, etc.

  • Stay in communication with experience partners and the Registrar about experience partners’ needs and questions during the registration process

  • Provide a plan for volunteer needs and submit requests to the Volunteer Coordinator

  • Coordinate the process in conjunction with Creative Director, GeoTour, and EO Media to set up caches at 75+ spots

  • Support Content Marketer as needed to interview experience partners for articles or to include them in the September media event

  • Track when experience partners’ said they needed counts on their registration and be sure to deliver as agreed

  • Finalize plans with experience provider, venue, and headliners September 23 - October 4

  • Work a maximum of 12 hour days during Live Culture Coast (specific schedule TBD as get closer to event — see calendar of experiences on the website to get an sense of the flow) to support experience partners during the execution of their experiences.  We will be focused on the following locations on the listed dates. “Coos County Loop” 10/18-22, Langlois/Port Orford 10/23&24, and Brookings/Gold Beach 10/25-27.

  • Support Creative Directors debriefs with experience providers

  • Complete a debrief with the Producer post-festival


This will be a free lance contract with South Coast Development Council overseen by Amber Peoples, Creative Director of Live Culture Coast.  Invoices will be addressed to SCDC.  Payment will be $2000 to be paid in 2 installments of $1000 by September 30, 2019 and by December 1, 2019.  Live Culture Coast will provide lodging (as needed) during the days contractor is required to be in the area.
