To appreciate the South Coast, trade landlubbing for sea legs. The hale-and-hearty captains of Coos Boat Tours take you away from shore into the salty waters of Coos Bay or up the Coquille River, depending on conditions. Your vessel for the voyage is the The Fun Sway, a historic replica of a “junk boat,” hand-built over nine years by a local Myrtle Point boat builder and your captain, Captain K, has a deep love for and knowledge of local waterways. Expect lore galore.
The tour is weather-dependent and safety is our top priority. In the case of cancellation, we will give a full refund; we will base our decision on the 48-hour forecast, and if the tour is cancelled, we will notify you via email by Monday, Oct. 21st.
Wear layers - it could be chilly

Meet Your Southern Oregon Coast Hosts
Captain K grew up with a love of boating on Lake Ontario of the Great Lakes. Wanting to see bigger water, he joined the US Navy and was stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk CV-63. For the past 10 years, he’s lived on the Coquille River in Prosper, where he’s been building docks, salvaging logs, crabbing, and learning the Coquille Rivers rich history inch by inch. His love for both history and boating spurred him to found Coos Boat Tours.
