The technique of fused glass (joining pieces of glass at high temps) gives artists infinite options to play with color and form and imagine the possibilities. In this workshop, the coast is inspiration for your own glistening creation: a mini sun catcher designed for hanging where it can catch the light fantastic.

Meet your Southern Oregon Coast Hosts
Anne Sobbota is a professional artist and arts educator who has been working in fused glass for 16 years. In addition to owning her own studio, Sage Place, she exhibits her own work at Art By the Sea Gallery in Bandon and other galleries. Since 2015, Anne and a group of local volunteers have gathered weekly in the studio and shared their love of glass fusing. Together they create art that helps fund free and low-cost experiences for local children. Their 2019 goal is to expand those experiences to include local veterans.
