Cob-building is a sensory experience—and in this workshop, you'll feel the possibilities! Tour this marvelous natural building building-demonstration site at SustainableU, get your feet into the clay, and mix your own cob or earthen plaster.

Experience Notes

  • We will be outdoors, rain or shine, so dress for the weather.

  • Your clothes may become quite “earthy.” Wear items that you don’t mind getting a bit of cob on.

Meet Your Southern Oregon Coast Hosts
In cooperation with Cob Cottage Company, Seven Fires Foundation's SustainableU program is happy to host you. A loose collective of people who really like one another and who believe in a lot of the same positive solutions to human problems. Together they conduct hands-on research on natural building methods and materials— teaching applied practical knowledge worldwide. By sharing of these time tested techniques, they help empower and inspire ordinary people to build their own tiny homes at minimal cost. Helping break the cycle of the 30 year mortgage era! They look forward to introducing you to power of earth and cob, community and togetherness.
