With 5,900 acres of forests, mudflats, and salt marshes, the South Slough is a South Coast gem. On this guided hike, you'll slow down and use your five senses to discover nature (and perhaps a bit about yourself). Along the way, you’ll learn all about this important estuary habitat and learn about how it benefits both people and wildlife.

Experience Notes

  • This event will take place outdoors on a forest/wetland trail. Bring water and wear closed-toed shoes appropriate for hiking. The hike will take place rain or shine, unless it becomes unsafe to do so (thunder/lightning, high winds, etc.). Please dress for the weather.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
