Your Live Culture Coast trip: mapped, planned, and ready to roll
There are 135 stunningly beautiful miles between our Reedsport and Brookings—that's just under three hours of drive time along Highway 101. Below are a few resources we hope will help you plan your trip—and make your travels most memorable.
Where to Stay
From beachfront hotels to cabins tucked up in the woods, the Southern Oregon Coast has accommodations for every taste and traveler. We suggest starting with the chambers of commerce and visitor centers in the area you’d like to stay in. These links will take you to the lodging pages of key towns, from north to south, including Reedsport, Coos Bay-North Bend-Charleston, Bandon, Port Orford, Gold Beach, and Brookings. Also, our experience provider Myrtle Glen Farm has a great Bed & Breakfast.
Discount for Live Culture Coast Travelers! The Mill Casino in Coos Bay is offering anyone who registers for a Live Culture Coast event a rate of $100 per night for the weekend of October 18-21—a discount of 40%. Just sign up for a weekend class by October 4 and we’ll send you a lodging discount code. Enjoy!
Where to Eat
With its farms, fisheries, and love for local bounty, the Southern Oregon Coast is a food destination in its own right. To explore the best of this region’s food culture, we recommend checking out the farms, restaurants, and food purveyors of the Wild Rivers Coast Food Trail. (You'll find a downloadable brochure at the bottom of their website.)
